 Information architecture Course in

your own way

Study in your own pace! Who doesn't do that nowadays? You yourself arrange when and where you keep on study and will not be impeded by dates and/or meeting places.

Information architectures in your own way

How much is studying at your own pace, in your own time and at your place of choice worth to you? It sounds very good and for many people this format is indeed an outcome. Yet it is essential to judge a course by its contents, not its format. For this reason we also offer a course at the same level in an interactive two-day format. So you can choose what works best for you. The extended contents of the written course can be found on the right.

 The appreciation course.

The appreciation information architecture consists of 8 lessons. The lessons will be sent to you in writing, on a time schedule determined by yourself. In each lesson, you are asked to answer a number of questions and send these to the teacher by e-mail. Formulating a number of questions by yourself, and answering them, is also encouraged. Our experience is that the practical circumstances of the participant often come forward this way. We welcome this initiative and will provide any support we can.

Objective of the appreciation course on information architecture in practice.
We want be of service to everyone who is interested in information architectures in any way we can and offer courses that give an overview of a broad and often confusing field. The appreciation means that participants after finishing the course have a good conceptual picture of the separate areas within the profession. They know which types of architectures exist, in which way these are connected and which professionals in the field are responsible for them.

We know from feedback concerning this course sent to us by participants, that if people can place information architectures in a mind frame, this enables them to assess theoretical frameworks more easily.

People who take this own-way version of the course are frequently considering developing themselves in this direction. They are often already employed as an information analyst or are operating in the field of functional management. They often consider the possibility to become an information architect and are planning their careers accordingly. But they first need to know more of the subject at hand before reaching a decision on their professional future. The course is very suitable for this goal. It also occurs that information architects or coordinators rapidly want to acquire an overview of the area. This course also reaches this goal.

If after reading this you are still not certain which course to apply to, please read the contents of the page of the
interactive appreciation course.
